Moving from Joy
Start by exporting the guest list. Joy's own pages describe an export, and it is the piece worth moving carefully. Managing Matrimony imports a CSV or Excel file and lets you match the columns (names, emails, phone numbers, dietary needs, RSVP status and notes), so nothing is retyped.
Keep the Joy site up until the new one is shared. If your save the dates already carry the Joy address, leave it live and put a line on the home page pointing at the new one rather than taking it down.
Decide about the photo album before you leave. If guests have already uploaded, download what is there before you stop using the account: photos do not export themselves.
What does not carry over is the registry, which is Joy's own product, and the RSVPs already collected. Bring those across as recorded answers rather than asking two hundred people to reply a second time.
