Common questions about wedding hire in Sydney
How much does plinth hire cost in Sydney?
Ours are $40 to $160 for your whole wedding: a white ribbed plinth is $70 inc. GST, or $130 inc. GST for any two of the 71 and 91 cm ones; a fluted plinth $90 inc. GST; a pair of clear acrylic plinths from $90 inc. GST. Across Sydney in October 2026, most white ribbed plinths of this height hired for $50 to $70 each, before delivery.
How many plinths do we need for a ceremony?
Two is the usual start: one either side of the aisle or the arbour, each with flowers on top. Two heights, 91 and 71 cm, look arranged; two the same look formal. A third at the welcome table can carry the wishing well or a sign.
What is a ribbed, fluted or ripple plinth?
A round column with fine vertical ribs, like a classical pillar: sellers call the same thing ribbed, fluted or ripple. Ours are fibreglass, 33 cm across and 50, 71 or 91 cm tall, in white, black, nude and baby pink, and each carries up to 30 kg. We list the deeper, limestone-finished columns separately, as fluted plinths.
Fibreglass, acrylic or glow: which plinth?
Fibreglass plinths are a solid colour and carry up to 30 kg each: flowers, a cake, a sign. Acrylic plinths are clear or white and come as a pair; they show what stands on them and suit a cake or a sculpture of flowers. The glow plinths are lit from inside, with a remote for the colour, and we charge them before they leave us.
What is a wishing well at an Australian wedding?
A box where guests leave a card, usually with a gift of money, in place of a present from a registry. It sits on the welcome or gift table with a small sign beside it. Ours are acrylic boxes with a card slot in the lid; the heart-lock wells lock with a gold padlock and key.
How much do guests usually put in a wishing well?
There is no set amount, and couples never name one. In a 2021 Canstar survey of more than 1,000 Australians, the most common wedding gift was $76 to $100.
What is the bloom wishing well?
A white bloom, sculpted, with its petals open around the place your guests slip their cards in. It stands on the welcome table or on a plinth, and it is $120 inc. GST for the wedding: the one piece on the shelf we make ourselves.
Will the easel hold our welcome sign?
Yes. The tall scrolled easel holds up to 5 kg on adjustable arms, and an A1 or A2 sign printed on foam board weighs well under that. The metal and wooden easels take an A1 board too.
Which easel for a framed mirror?
A framed mirror is usually heavier than a printed sign. Tell us its size and weight when you book and we will say which easel suits it, or stand it on a plinth instead.
What size sign fits a table easel?
The 42 and 46 cm table easels hold an A4 menu, a table number or a bar sign; the 30 cm ones an A5 card. A tall easel takes A2 and A1.
Do you deliver and set up the hire?
Two ways. When we coordinate, set up or style your wedding, the pieces come with us at no charge, go where your plan says, and leave with us. If you are hiring them on their own, you pick them up from us in Sydney for free. We don't post or courier them: a fibreglass plinth doesn't travel well, and the pieces need to be back on the shelf for the next wedding.
How long do we have the pieces?
For your whole wedding. Collect them up to 2 days before, and return them within 2 days after, whichever day of the week you marry on. When we coordinate, we bring them that morning and take them away that night.
Is there a bond, and what if something breaks?
No bond. A piece that comes back lost or broken is charged at the maker's price for a new one, which we tell you before you pay.
Can we hire without booking coordination?
Yes. Choose your pieces, add your date, and pay for a pick-up. We email you within one business day to settle a time to collect them from us in Sydney.
More questions
How do we mention the wishing well to guests?
Not on the invitation itself. Say it on your wedding website or a details card, in a line that thanks guests for coming first, and never name an amount.
Who looks after the wishing well on the night?
Ask one person you trust, often a parent, to take it home at the end of the night. The heart-lock wells lock, and the key stays with that person.
Do the plinths come with flowers?
No, the plinths are hired on their own. Your florist can dress them, or our Styled & Sorted package sources the flowers through the florists we work with.
Is GST included in the hire prices?
Yes. Every price on this page includes GST: $70 inc. GST a ribbed plinth, $130 inc. GST for two, $50 inc. GST for the heart-lock wishing well and $40 inc. GST for the tall easel.
