About
Hi, I’m Brayden. With a surname like Wedd, it would’ve been a waste not to work in weddings. I’m hopeless with flowers, so celebrant it was. I’m an Australian civil marriage celebrant and wedding MC. I create ceremonies that sound like you, hold your guests’ attention and leave room for proper laughs as well as the meaningful bits. My favourite compliment? When guests assume I’m an old friend of the couple. To make that happen, I get to know you both separately, then gather stories from the friends and family you’d like involved. I write your ceremony from scratch, help with your personal vows and share the draft for your feedback. You’ll recognise yourselves in the words, and feel comfortable saying them.

I also take care of the legal side: guiding you through the Australian marriage paperwork, conducting your legal ceremony and lodging the required documents afterwards. If you’d like me as your MC too, I can help shape the reception flow, introduce speeches and key moments, and work with your venue and suppliers to keep everything moving naturally. I started Wed by Wedd in 2023 and work between the UK and selected Australian weddings, with a particular connection to the NSW South Coast. Much of the planning can happen by video call, with the required in-person steps arranged ahead of the wedding. A big celebration, an intimate gathering or just the legal essentials: send me your date, venue and what you have in mind. I’ll check my Australian availability and we can arrange a chat.

Questions
Can you legally marry us in Australia?
Yes. I’m an Australian civil marriage celebrant, so I can conduct your legal marriage as well as write and deliver your personal ceremony. I guide you through the required paperwork and lodge the marriage documents after the wedding.
How far in advance should we book?
Get in touch as soon as you have a date and venue in mind, especially as I take selected Australian bookings alongside my UK work. For a legal marriage, I normally need to receive your completed, properly witnessed Notice of Intended Marriage at least one month and no more than 18 months before the wedding. Booking early gives us plenty of time for the personal parts too.
What is your pricing structure?
My Australian starting prices are A$1,500 for a personalised legal ceremony, A$2,100 for ceremony plus reception MC, and A$700 for a simple legals-only service. Your final quote depends on the date, location, travel and scope. I confirm the total and inclusions before you book.
How do you make our ceremony personal?
I get to know you both through individual questionnaires and a planning conversation, with stories from chosen friends and family where you’d like them involved. I write your ceremony from scratch and share the draft for your feedback. Expect recognisable details, natural humour and room for the meaningful moments.
4 more questions
Can you be our MC as well?
Absolutely. I can stay on to host your reception, help shape the flow, introduce speeches and key moments, and liaise with your venue and suppliers. We agree the timings and responsibilities beforehand so everyone knows the plan and you can enjoy the celebration.
Where do you work, and can we plan while you’re overseas?
I take selected Australian weddings, particularly on the NSW South Coast, with other locations considered around my travel schedule. I’m also based in London for UK work, so send your date and venue first and I’ll confirm availability. We can get to know each other and plan by video call, then arrange the required in-person steps ahead of your wedding. Travel costs are agreed in advance.
Do you offer small weddings and legals-only ceremonies?
Yes. An intimate wedding can still have a fully personalised ceremony, while my legals-only option keeps things short and focused on the legal requirements. Tell me the kind of experience you want and we’ll choose the right approach. For the legal ceremony you’ll need two witnesses aged 18 or over.
What happens after we enquire?
Send your date, venue and whether you’re looking for a ceremony, MC or both. I’ll check my Australian availability and we can arrange an initial chat. If we’re a good fit, I’ll send a clear quote, inclusions and booking terms, then guide you through the paperwork and ceremony planning.
