Frequently Asked Questions
Answer: There can be additional cost like travel, accommodation, photo booth hire or engagement/family shootI shoot weddings across Bunbury, the South West, and Perth — including Busselton, Dunsborough, Yallingup, Margaret River, Ferguson Valley, Collie, Harvey, Manjimup, Pemberton, the Swan Valley, Mandurah, Rottnest Island and beyond.
Answer: Travel to the South West, Mandurah/Peel Region, south of the river Perth suburbs, Perth CBD, and UWA is included at no additional cost. For all other north of the river Perth locations a travel fee of $150 applies. For locations further afield please get in touch and I'll provide a custom quote. Accommodation costs for destination weddings requiring an overnight stay are to be covered by the client.
Answer: Yes I do, I've shot multiple same-sex marriages and got no issues with shooting them at all.
Answer: No problems at all, I've shot multiple same-sex marriages and got no issues with shooting them at all.
Answer: I'd love to sign as a witness for you both. There is no extra cost, just let me know.
Answer: Yes I do have a drone and yes it is possible to get drone photos of the wedding depending on the location. Following the rules by CASA and depending on the owner of the property where you're having your wedding says that it's ok and sometimes it depends on the suburb. If it's possible I'll put my drone up and we'll get some photos.
Answer: Yes I do, and you can add it to your photography package for an additional cost. It includes props, different backdrops to choose from and a custom design for your prints. For more information please have a look at my websitehttps://nathansixsmith.com/photobooth-for-hire-Perth
Answer: No I don't. I only put watermarks on the photo when posting on social media or advertising.
Answer: I shoot digital.
Answer: All digital images are provided via a private Google Drive link and a private Gallery on my Website.Packages over 6 hours include a USB. But if you want a USB drive as well that is not included in your hours it will cost extra.
Answer:Google Drive links remain active for 12 months from the date of delivery, and website galleries remain active for 14 months. I'd strongly recommend downloading and backing up your images well before these periods expire — once the link is gone I'm unable to guarantee access to your photos after that time.
Answer: Yes, As long as we can get there in the time you have me booked for.
Answer: Yes, I'll be able to help you with that. It's ok we're all awkward in some way and if you're booking a package I might suggest getting an engagement shoot as well. This will help you with getting comfortable in front of the camera. Don't worry, it's not all serious poses, you've got to have some fun too.
Answer: It depends on how long you hire me for haha. 6 hours packages have been getting a minimum of 500 photos. So say 80-100 per hour. Is there a limitation on how many photos? No.
Answer: You don't receive all the photos. I cull out any of the bad photos, photos that are out of focus, people blinking in group photos, and duplicate photos.
Answer: Yeah, that's not a problem. I respect if a client wishes to have their photographs strictly private, please inform me before or at the session.
Answer: Not at all — I'm always happy to have a chat before you commit to anything. We can catch up in person if you're local to Bunbury, jump on a video call via WhatsApp, or have a good old fashioned phone call — whatever works best for you. There's no obligation and no pressure, just a relaxed conversation about your day and what you're looking for. Get in touch via the contact page and we'll find a time that suits.
Answer: Absolutely — and I'd encourage every couple to take me up on this. I've photographed hundreds of weddings so I have a good sense of how long things take, what order works best, and where the golden hour falls at different times of year. I'm happy to work through your timeline with you before the day to make sure everything runs smoothly and we have enough time for the photos you want. A well planned timeline makes a huge difference to how relaxed and enjoyable your day feels.
Answer: Neat casual. Long sleeve shirt with rolled-up sleeves, grey or dark blue chinos and brown shoes.
Answer: Yes I do. An engagement shoot can be added to the packages or you can turn it into a family shoot.
Answer: Yeah sure no problems, please email them through.
Answer: Of course we can. Be prepared to empty out some sand.
Answer: Yes we can. It's your day, let me know what you'd like to do.
Answer: Weather is one of those things nobody can control! For weddings I'll always adapt to whatever the day brings — some of the most beautiful shots happen in dramatic weather. For outdoor couple and family sessions, if conditions are severe enough to prevent the shoot from going ahead safely we can reschedule to a mutually agreed date. Light rain, wind or overcast skies are generally not grounds for rescheduling. If you'd like to reschedule your couple portrait session after a wedding due to weather, this can be arranged at an additional cost.
Answer: I take bookings up to 1 and a half years in advance.
Answer: My question to you is when is the date of your wedding or event and how long would you like my services for? Also please don't just give me the month your wedding is in. There are many days in a month and depending on the month most of them are already booked.
Answer: If I'm available yes I do.
Answer: Sure not a problem.
Answer: No, but I can suggest some videographers to you.
Answer: Yes I do. For every wedding, event or shoot I bring 3 camera bodies, multiple lenses, memory cards and flashes. If the event of anything I'll still be able to shoot.
Answer: Yes. All my cameras write to 2 cards when taking photos for redundancy, in the event that a memory card fails. When I get home I back up your photos to my computer, an external hard drive that travels with me and my NAS. I make sure that I can see all the photos in my editing software and the memory cards get put to the side till the photos are edited and uploaded.
Answer: No problems. I can add the extra hour or hours onto the final invoice.
Answer: You can print the photo out for your own personal use and you don't have to have them printed by. You can get them printed anywhere.
Answer: Yes, I now do prints. But if you are located in Perth I likeFitzgerald Photo Imaging. They always do a great job.
Answer: Nope, what I quote you is what you get.
Answer: 2-6 Weeks after the wedding and as long as the final payment is made. You won't be waiting months for your photos.
Answer: The deposit is 50% and you don't pay for the other half until the photos are edited and uploaded 2-6 weeks after the wedding.Do you have a question that isn't covered here?
