The Couple
Mell & Steve. These two just radiated love, and fun. Like all modern love stories, they met on hinge during Covid lockdown in Sept 2021. Every part of their day was thought out, and true to them.
The Proposal
Absolutely one of the cutest proposal stories I’ve heard. Mell & Steve were overseas in the UK, and Steve planned a secret getaway to the Colmar in the Alsace region of France. They spent the day exploring the gorgeous town with a wine tour, and after dinner that night they walked along a stunning little bridge over a river, reading the little love locks. Steve had one in his pocket, they wrote “M&S” and locked it on the bridge. He then told Mell to read it and he had written “will you marry me” on the back and was down on one knee with her dream ring. So special just the two of them at night in the most magical little French village.
The Venue
The Lodge really has it all - quirky renovated motel rooms surrounding a gorgeous pool. Tennis courts, a sauna, a gym, on-site restaurant and gorgeous gardens to match. Mell & Steve wanted to make a weekend affair, with their guests staying three nights and enjoying a welcome feast + a recovery pool party.
The Highlights
Even with the forecast as dire as it was, the guests and vendors rallied around the couple. They were surprisingly so relaxed and just went with it. The ceremony was stunning, and the whole reception was a party. Oh, and their wedding photos are to die for.
The Hiccups
Unfortunately no etsy witch or burying of a sausage could stop the 100ml of rain that fell on their wedding day. They say a wet knot is harder to untie? Actioning the wet weather plan meant we all got very wet, but it was so worth it to accomplish such a beautiful day.

Jordan and her team are absolutely exceptional at what they do! From our first conversation, Jordan takes the time to understand what you need and your vision for your big day and executes it to perfection. Our day was intense rain and Jordan, Michael and Bella went above and beyond to sort everything in the background, remained calm (while soaked!) and made sure we had the day of our dreams. I cannot thank them enough or recommend them enough! True professionals and just absolutely lovely people to deal with. 10/10
