The Ranch

Do it your way! The Ranch is essentially a DIY venue which allows you to have your vision, while we provide the backdrop. It means you can organise your own catering and alcohol. Whether you want a sit down meal or a food truck – it is entirely up to you. We have a number of recommended caterers who can help you if required. You have access from 3:30 pm Friday until Sunday at 11:00 am so you can make a weekend of it. For those who find the DIY factor a bit daunting, we also offer setup packages (for a range of budgets), cleaning packages and prop hire. There is onsite accommodation for you and your guests to enjoy and for those who are wanting activities for their guests we can also provide that. Recommended Capacity: 120 people seated, 150 people cocktail – although marquee weddings can accommodate more. The Ranch is situated in Cape Schanck on the Mornington Peninsula. Located just over an hour from Melbourne, it is set on 200 acres with views of rolling hills and horses grazing – it’s like a little town with Bass Strait in the background. The theme that makes up ‘The Ranch Experience’ is one of ‘The Old West’ and is truly a unique and exciting venue, the ideal setting for a wedding! The Shearing Shed is a rustic wooden barn that was used for shearing sheep and holding many a barn dance many moons ago. It has a lot of charm and provides a blank canvas for couples to weave their magic.
