Secrets On The Lake

We invite you to experience the al fresco ambience of the rainforest at our award-winning restaurant Dining on the Deck open Tuesday to Sunday. In 1984 George & Aldy Johnston were living in Baroon Pocket, on a farm that was bordered by the beautiful Obi Obi creek farming kiwi fruit and growing fields of watermelons, tomatoes and peas. They had big dreams to create creekside cabins for visitors to enjoy, however their plans were sidelined when their land was resumed to build what is now Lake Baroon, a $40 million dollar project that now provides water to the Caloundra and Maroochy Shires. George and Aldy’s original 3 bedroom home build from a silo is still located in the middle of the dam, although we can’t vouch for how intact it still is! Their plans were only put on hold momentarily before in YEAR their good friend and neighbor Steve Weiss offered to sell them the land that is now known to be Secrets on the Lake.
