Large and inviting – quintessential Hunter Valley! We are Pete and Jade, proud co-owners of Peppers Creek Barrel Room and Chapel. Together, we want your wedding day to be an emotional whirlwind – in the best way possible. Pete is an ideas man, with more than two decades’ experience in hospitality management, team mentoring and business administration. He has overseen the day-to-day operations of several clubs across the Hunter, spearheading multimillion dollar commercial renovations since 2001. Jade is the resident ‘eye for detail’ and has been self-employed in the events industry for 25 years, now running two multiple award-winning Hunter Valley wedding flowers and styling businesses in Newcastle. She brings creativity, dynamism and a genuine passion for memory-making at Peppers Creek. It is an honour to have former owner Ken’s blessing, and we are equally privileged to collaborate with his loyal and hard-working team – many of whom have been here for more than 15+ years. Expanding Peppers Creek to include weddings and events was the brainchild of Ken and architect Peter Ireland, both of which had a hand in designing and constructing the sandstone chapel so indoor ceremonies could be held onsite. The rustic barrel room is just as thoughtful and immaculate, with exposed timber beams, draped festoon lighting, and a large, mood-setting fireplace.
