Paramoor Estate Winery

Paramoor Winery was established in 2005 by Will Fraser, and became one of the most popular wineries in the Macedon Ranges. A small production facility, Paramoor holds a five star rating with Halliday’s Wine Companion and continues to make high quality small batch wines under the stewardship of Geoff Plahn in the winery. Whilst Samantha Reid handles the multitude of events and dinners arrangements in the magnificent Clydesdale barn converted from the old stables. Paramoor draws a crowd as much for its relaxed ambience and thoughtful displays of history, as it does for its exceptional expression of its wines. Paramoor Winery, nestled at 550 meters on Mount Macedon, is a hidden jewel, thriving in a cool climate that nurtures the slow ripening of its 20-year-old Pinot Noir, Riesling, and Pinot Gris vines. This environment, while advantageous for fruit development, introduces challenges with potential early spring and late autumn frosts. The winery’s minimal intervention philosophy and unwavering commitment to quality result in wines characterised by elegance and intensity, truly embodying the terroir’s unique traits. Paramoor’s home site spans forty three acres with approximately a hectare under vine, where we nurture Riesling, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Gris through some very cool seasons. Our location is directly in line with views of Mount Macedon to the south. We also work closely with growers in the Macedon Ranges and Heathcote to bring a full range of interesting wines to the dinner table. Including Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Shiraz, Grenache, Verdelho, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon.
