Cornwallis House is the jewel of the Hawkesbury, located on the banks of the beautiful Hawkesbury River, only an hour from the hustle and bustle of Sydney CBD. This is a privately owned property set on a working orange orchard with a gorgeous big Queenslander style house offering luxury accommodation for eight people. We specialise in outdoor country garden style weddings from 60 to around 250 guests. You will have exclusive use of the property for the weekend to create the wedding of your dreams. You can hire your own suppliers, and set up and decorate any way you want. The venue is perfect for adding your own touch of magic, and at the same time keeping within your budget. The Cornwallis House Wedding & Event Package cost currently (2024) starts from a minimum of 60 guests for $7,900 (incl gst). It increases in cost in increments, depending on the number of guests you will have at the event. Ask us for a quote for the number of guests you wish. The DIY /DRY HIRE package includes: – * Hire of the whole house for ACCOMMODATION for up to 8 people for 3 nights as part of the “Sheddies Special” of a Bonus 3rd night for free. * Hire of the whole property for VENUE HIRE for a wedding or event on site for between 60-250 guests. * Furniture – i.e. tables and chairs as well as bar stools & bar tables , for the required number of guests. * Outdoor Bar area on the terrace (4 bars set up in a square) with plenty of room for bar tables & bar stools. * Function room (air conditioned/heated) with indoor dance floor – holds 90 seated / 125 cocktail style. * Small second kitchen downstairs which can be used by the bar service & caterers you hire. * A choice of lawn areas close to the house to put up a marquee (the marquee is an optional extra, or you can organise your own). * Ceremony arbour and ” Registry Signing” table and chairs. * Hired prestige portable toilet unit (s) and hired cool room for your drinks. * Off street car parking for as many cars as you need * A variety of other equipment and decorations (ask us about these). * Ability to have small family gatherings before and after the wedding for your nearest and dearest (“Recovery Brunch” on Sunday is always popular).
