Hire a Kombi

All rates are listed below each kombi for self drive hire and you're welcome to send us an enquiry if you have questions.Please fill out the Enquiry Form which is in the Availability calendar.  If you send us an email without us knowing all the information required we can’t quote you accurately sorry.A day is 11am to 9am the following day.Winter times are 12pm - 10am.We are very flexible where possible so if these times don't suit feel free to let us know so we can try accommodate.We also post all our specials on our instagram stories so be sure to follow us and sign up to our mailing list for deals / latest news.

AustraliaWe allow one way travel interstate for an added cost if you want alternative pick up / drop off options.- Avalon Airport is the closest airport to us and has door to door service throughMy BusTullamarine Airport is the main Melbourne Airport which has an hourly bus service called theGull Buswhich will drop you off in Geelong at a number of stops.From the bus stops you can catch a taxi, uber or bus to us.  If you are catching a bus to our area please let us know so we can collect you from a local bus stop free of charge.Searoad Ferryis a fantastic option if coming from or driving to Mornington Peninsula. Free pick up / drop off service is available in winter if we are available. $40 for all other periods.Port Phillip Ferriesoperates between Docklands and Portarlington. Free pick up / drop off service available in winter if we are available. $40 for all other periods.If you are running late to get to a service you can arrange to leave the kombi at the station but must be requested. $100 for this service.

We include 200km per day of hire.Anything you choose to go over you pay extra for.$1 per km 50km over$1.50 per km 51km overPlease be specific in the Enquiry Form *Destination eg needs to be the furtherest stop you plan to go not just Great Ocean Road or East Coast.Depending on what experience you choose we allow our vans to travel Australia wide including TasmaniaNot many people will hand their keys over to strangers but we trust you and appreciate you taking your time to travel and treat our vans with love so that they will continue to stay on our roads for generations to come.If you take the option to return by 9am you must stay within 85km of our home on the last night.If you have other plans please ensure you let us know first and it is allowed.

Unleaded 98 only.Most petrol stations have 98 Unleaded however if you are in a small town that doesn't we ask you just put enought 95 Unleaded to get you to the next stop.The engines will love you forever.  A poor quality fuel could be extremely harmful to their engines.We start you with a full tank of fuel and you must return with a full tank from our local stations on Shell Road, Grubb Road + Corner of Bellarine Highway.The kombi will get 350km - 400km to a tank of fuel.

Definitely all our kombi's are equipped for children.We have anchor points attached for your baby seats and your children will love sleeping and driving in the kombi.It's a cubby house on wheels!

Yes you are covered by full comprehensive insurance however please be prepared to pay $2000 – $5000 excess if anything should happen to the kombi.All drivers must be over 21 and have their drivers licence with them when collecting the van and must give us a credit card for a security authorization on the day of hire.The van can not leave our premises until the driver provides a security authorization.The other option is to grabExcess Insurance Coverbefore your hire fromwww.rentalcover.com.authis will ensure you get your excess money returned in the case of a claim.

As they are over 50 years old, like all machines they can experience a mishap.They are checked and maintained by a VW specialist mechanic before and after every hire so they have a very high upkeep and you have this support on the duration of your trip to ensure the problem is dealt with as quick, professionally and with clear communication.They are also our only vehicle we drive when they are home so we are constantly checking in with them.PleaseDO NOTtry and repair anything without consulting us first and if you can’t handle the possibility of a break down we kindly ask you don’t hire.

Go to Our Kombi's page and it will show the availbility of all the vans. Select the dates you want and click on Enquire.If you want to book you must read the Terms on the website, if you agree with them please confirm you agree via email and we will email the invoice across.We require $250 deposit upfront to confirm your booking and the remaining amount is due 6 weeks prior to hire date. For hires longer than a week it is a deposit of $250 per week of hire for every week booked.For wedding bookings $250 is due upfront per day of hire.You can then make payment into our account or over the phone using Eftpos.Vouchers can be purchased on our website under Shop or for an amount of your choice directly through us and are valid for 3 years from date of purchase.

YES! You must call up and pay for any tolls you go through.  Failing to do so will leave you with Administration fees from Citylink or Eastlink.

We can supply a bedding pack for $40 per bed.Each bed will is supplied 2 x pillows, 1 x fitted sheet, 1 x quilt,  2 x towels + extra blankets are included in winter.Sleeping bags are provided for the hammock beds in Dawson.Bedding from Kip+Co + Wanderingfolk.
