As early as possible, especially if you are after a particular time. While we do our best to accommodate all requests, Saturdays can be booked out as far two years in advance, so we encourage you to book early to avoid disappointment.

To secure any appointment, reach out via our contact form or phone us directly. Once your date has been agreed on, Donna requires a signed booking contract and a 50% non-refundable deposit to secure your date. Please note no booking is secured until this has been completed.

We can accommodate either option, depending on what works best for you. Most appointments are completed in Donna’s studio, except for Wedding Parties, which are completed at the location of your choice to coincide with your other appointments. Travel is also available for group bookings of 3 or more and trials if you’re located outside of Dubbo.

With a car and a passport, there’s no limit to where Donna can travel! Please note a travel fee does apply to weddings and special events outside of Dubbo that require Donna to travel to be a part of the event.

We suggest booking your trial for 6-8 weeks before your event. If you book too far ahead of your event your preferences may change, or if it is too close to your event you may be preoccupied with other details of your event and be unable to provide the level of feedback to ensure we get your look right.

Absolutely, we can progressively add & alter the style you’d like throughout the trial.

A makeup trial varies from client to client, but Donna always likes to start with a chat about your relationship with makeup and what styles you like, while browsing at some makeup inspiration images.Donna will then ask questions about your skin and your vision for the the big day itself. While she is applying the agreed upon trial look, you can chat about your bridal party and what you’d like for them for the day also.Once you and Donna are both happy with the final look, Donna will note down all the products used, along with any feedback from you so that she can ensure your look will be perfect on the day.

Please allow an hour and a half for your makeup trial - there’s a lot of chatting that happens alongside the application.

We understand that sometimes things change and ask that you get in touch with us as soon as possible for booking cancellations. Deposits are non-refundable; however, appointments may be rescheduled pending the amount of notice given and our availability to reschedule.

Unfortunately, Donna only offers makeup, but she does know some great hairdressers that she can recommend to you for hairstyling.

In the lead up to your special day or event, make sure you’re taking care of your skin (washing your makeup off before bed, drinking lots of water and sticking to your skincare routine). On the day all you need to do is apply your normal skin care routine and arrive at your appointment with just your beautiful face (no need for makeup!)

For Wedding parties, Donna times the morning to ensure everyone is ready to go by the time your photographer walks in the door. Typically, she starts with any drier-skinned girls as it is easy to add hydration and moisture to their look throughout the day. Next up, any oilier-skinned girls, as Donna knows makeup typically wears quicker for your skin type. Brides have their makeup applied second to last to ensure you are fresh and finished before your photographer arrives.

Donna carries a variety of brands in her kit, but some of her most used brands are MAC, NARS, Charlotte Tilbury, Make Up Forever & Laura Mercier.

Donna can apply makeup for your entire bridal party or just you, depending on your needs. Either way, this will be discussed and confirmed during your booking, so both parties know what is expected on the day.

We ask you to allow an hour for all special occasion makeup application – this allows Donna to discuss your look and execute it.Wedding party bookings run slightly differently – Donna allows 45 minutes for everyone apart from the bride and for brides, allows the hour. After all, it’s your special day so you deserve a little more luxury.

Not at all! The only time you may need to supply your own lashes is if you have a specific pair you need to wear that are outside of Donna’s kit (for example: lashes with diamantes or feathers).
