However the demand here is more in the construction of the suit than the colour—details like satin lapels, a bow tie and a stripe down the leg are reserved only for this dress code. For events with a dress code requesting a lounge suit, cocktail suit, or just 'suit and tie', a wool suit in navy or grey is ideal. For more casual weddings, those with a dress code listing garden, casual or beach, the options are much wider. While navy and grey are still perfectly acceptable, don't be afraid to have some fun with colour; anything from cream to shades of maroon and olive are perfect!
