My name is Katrina Lai and I’m an experienced Master of Ceremonies (MC), speaker and presenter based in Melbourne. I love weddings, and every time I attend one I feel honoured to be part of such a special day. It’s beautiful to witness a couple’s commitment and their promise to love each other through all of life’s adventures. Whenever I’m speaking, I always aim to entertain and inspire guests, family and friends. It’s my job to guide the formalities, share the events that brought the newlyweds together, and ultimately, help celebrate this momentous occasion. I was just 18 years old when I was first asked to MC the weddings of family and friends. I’ve since gone on to host countless events for hundreds of guests, and become President of the world-renowned not-for-profit organisation, the Telstra Exhibition Toastmasters Club. I’m proud to be fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, meaning that I can share my stories and speeches with audiences from around the world. We had planned our dream day but had issues trying to find a bi-lingual MC that spoke Chinese Hakka, Cantonese and fluent English. I had met Kat at work, and thought her outgoing, bubbly and friendly personality would be the perfect addition to our reception. She was able to work around our reception schedule and our specific needs. She made sure she was designing an itinerary that suited us, as well as a face to face catch up a week before the wedding - to cover off any final questions and concerns.
